HOW BRIDGE OF COMPASSION ALL  BEGAN

In 2007 via my website I was contacted by Pastor Ramada. It was a genuine divine appointment. He was helping rescue abandoned children off the local garbage dump and feed and house them in his church. I was so moved by compassion by the photos and stories of the people that I felt compelled to help.

My children at time Asher and Grace were just young teenagers and I asked for their help. I was single parent at the time and had absolutely no money to spare to send to help. But I fervently wanted to so we devised a plan to go door to door selling my books and DVD's to raise money. It took 2 days of going door to door in a heatwave, to raise 400 dollars. We sent that first amount off and saw the difference that it made it feeding and blessing the less fortunate. Since then we have faithfully tithed and raised money for Pastor Ramada and his mission.

We have named the mission: BRIDGE OF COMPASSION MINISTRIES

Over the 10 years of being the director of this ministry we have achieved a great deal. We have rescued many abandoned children from the streets and provided them with a christian education and home to live in. We have feeding programs for the poor, prison ministry, bible distribution etc.

Pastor Jered is very fortunate that he has negotiated with many of the schools that if he brings in food to feed the children a nutritious lunch they let him share the gospel at assembly time. This is a marvelous way of sharing the word of God with the youth.

When I got married in 2015, we asked people to not give any presents but make a donation to BOC and because of this we were able to purchase a motorbike and sidecar which enables Pastor Jered to bring food and bibles to schools and remote areas.

Pastor Jered and his wife Evangeline and their church areas are tireless workers for the gospel and risk their lives to help others on to help save the lives and souls of others less fortunate.

PROVERBS:19:17 Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.

If you want to donate to Jonah Ministries and the work we are doing with the less fortunate in the Philippines. All donations will be gratefully accepted and used to feed the children and spread the gospel of Jesus.

VISION:

Bridge of Compassion exists to exalt YHWH's name through evangelism, church planting, leadership development and ministries of compassion.
To proclaim  YHWH’s name, his precious gospel and HIS love to the Children and peoples of the Philippine Islands and Southern Asia where thousands are lost and in need of salvation.

Mission:

  • To fulfill the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20, Mark 16:15, Luke 24:17, John 20:21).

  • To share YHWH’s love for the world (Luke 10:2, Matt 9:36-38, Matt. 18:10-14).

  • To minister to the Orphan, Less fortunate children and human need (Matt. 25:31-46, Luke 16:9, Luke 16:19-31, Luke 10:2).

  • To bring men and women to the knowledge of God and to His redeeming grace (John 3:16, Rom. 10: 13-15).

  • To obey YHWH by confessing Him to the world (Matt. 10:32-33, Matt. 25:41-46).

Strategy - What We Do for Children

  • Pay school expenses for children who, without financial help, would not be able to attend school.

  • Give assistance to our sponsored children who wish to continue on to college to prepare for a successful future. This is quite amazing for a child who could not attend even elementary school without financial assistance.

  • Provide meals for malnourished children and their families living at dumpsites, on the streets and under bridges. The frequency varies by location and need.

  • Provide funds for job training for young men and women who do not have the education needed to be self sustaining and productive in society.

“THE SPIRIT of the LORD Has Anointed Us To Preach the Gospel to the Poor, To Heal The Broken Hearted, To Preach Deliverance To The Captives and Recovering of SIGHT to the blind to set at Liberty Those That Are Bruised,” Luke:4: 18-20
