Michelle's message of 100% Faith! has been severly tried and tested since she began sharing. Keith and Michelle spent 2 years extensively travelling throughout Australia in a caravan, sharing at all churches, schools and groups. Michelle shared her saved at sea testimony and many came to a saving knowledge of their messiah.

In 1996, just as they were about to embark on ministry throughout the Asia region, their son Asher, who was then 2, was diagnosed with Autism. This was without doubt the most devastating news any parent could receive grievous time in Michelle and Keith's lives, as the couple also had 9 month old daughter Grace.

My mother Rachelle was a very intrinsic part of Asher's therapy and recovery from Autism. She assisted in his therapy, took him on training excursions and most especially spent alot of time with Grace, who by now was starting to really feel the typical effects of being the sibling to someone with a disability. She would sit outside his therapy room and answer all his questions - really trying to help him!

Michelle says "I really felt convicted that God was testing me to now live up to the message of 100% Faith! in him that I was preaching. We made a decision to cease our travelling ministry and pour all out efforts into our son with an early intervention program. We commenced a program called ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) which involved up to 40 hrs per week on 1 0n 1 repetitive training. We personally only did about 25 hours for about 3 years. It was extremely successful! We sowed the seed and God gave the increase.

I consider the next 5 years to be without a doubt the most challenging and difficult experience I had ever endured, surpassing my ordeal at sea. This pervasive and all consuming disability taught me a very different definition of 100% Faith! This message I can now share with all those Mum's and Dad's suffering with the enormous frustration and sense of powerlessness , when facing Autism. It is that the Bible makes it clear that God will never give us a burden that will cannot carry and that even if that burden seems overwhelming at the time, God also says You can do ALL THINGS THROUGH YAHSHUA/JESUS WHO STRENGTHEN'S YOU.

Most of our efforts between 1999 to 2008 were the approach I have taught about in the 6 part series. Going through breaking off all family and generational curses. Cleaning up all sin, rebellion and unforgiveness in my own life and walking the walk of sanctification through faith. The more healed I became the more healed Asher became as all these things are generational and habitual. Children don't learn by what you preach they learn by watching how you act. As the saying goes you are the book your children are reading.

From 1999 - 2004 I spent several years volunteering my time 2 half days per week at Asher's school working as a teacher aide to assist him and any other children in the classroom that required assistance. This achieved marvelous results. Both Grace and Asher attended small Christian colleges from 2004-2009.

From 2009 to present day Asher went to live with his dad Keith. They both reside in Darwin. Grace and I lived in Robina, Queensland from 2010-2014. Grace then married in Nov 2014 at 18 to Luke. The 4 of us would have the most amazing and adventurous times together over the years as Asher would come and visit with us.

I remarried in February 2015 to David Guest and now in 2026 we have had 2 granddaughters and we continue to live in Queensland.

ASHER NOW IN 2026

If you have a child on the spectrum - please don’t despair or give up. It was a cruel blow when the formal diagnosis of Asher having autism was delivered. It was a surreal moment when the doctors’ words seemed to be coming to me in slow motion. As time went past it became very obvious that indeed he had Autism. Today in 2026, Asher is unrecognisable from his peers. We credit the early diagnosis, immediate intervention with commencing Applied Behaviour Analysis, speech therapy and mostly to God above. Asher graduated high school with Honors’ and achieved a double diploma in sound technology and musicology. Asher is now a senior sound engineer in Darwin and is very successful in his field. He fulfilled the Hebrew name we gave him which means happy and blessed.

From the moment I became your Mum my life was filled with purpose and joy. Through our many struggles to help you be free of Autism, together we persevered and would not give up until you were healed and set free from this. My life with you was one of constant adventure and fun and would not ever trade a minute of it. All of my life's best memories have you in them. I love you with all my heart and soul and am so incredibly proud of the man you have become and what you have achieved. Love always Mum xxxx
